Easterlies, amihan to bring rain, thunderstorms in parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday the northeast monsoon or "amihan" would be affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

In its early morning bulletin, the weather bureau said that Batanes and Babuyan Islands were expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Davao Region, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Sur, South Cotabato, and Sarangani.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
