EAST West Banking Corp. (EastWest) has opened a new banking store at the Cebu IT Park, combining round-the-clock self-service facilities with in-person banking and wealth-management services.
The new store, located at Filinvest Shoppes along Salinas Drive corner W. Geonzon Street in Apas, Cebu City, is among the first EastWest branches to adopt the bank’s new store format.
The facility has a 24-hour self-service area for essential transactions, including cash deposits, allowing customers to conduct banking activities outside regular branch hours. It also has digital banking facilities, service pods and private consultation rooms for customers seeking assistance from bank personnel.
“Banking should fit seamlessly into our customers’ lives, not the other way around,” said Ivy Uy, head of EastWest’s Branch Banking Group.
Uy said the store was designed to give customers the option of using self-service facilities, seeking financial advice or combining both, depending on their needs.
The store also houses an EastWest Priority Center, which provides relationship managers, private consultation rooms and a lounge for the bank’s Priority clients.
Customers at the store may also access EastWest Horizons, the bank’s wealth-management offering for emerging affluent individuals seeking advice on investments, insurance and long-term financial planning.
EastWest is a subsidiary of Filinvest Development Corp., which has interests in real estate, banking, hospitality and tourism, infrastructure, power generation, and sugar farming and milling.
The bank’s shares on Friday rose P0.04, or 0.40 percent, to close at P10.00 each.
