EasyJet to cease all flights from Leeds Bradford airport – here’s why

  • EasyJet has announced it will cease all operations from Leeds Bradford airport in January after 16 years of flights from the West Yorkshire aviation hub.
  • The budget airline currently operates services from Leeds Bradford to destinations such as Barcelona, Belfast, Mallorca, Malaga and Paris.
  • An easyJet spokesperson said: “Following a review of our routes from Leeds Bradford airport, we have made the decision to no longer operate flights from the airport after 5 January. Our focus is on maintaining and developing routes which prove most popular with customers.”
  • Passengers with bookings beyond January are being offered a free transfer to flights from an alternative airport or a refund by the airline.
  • Wizz Air, Jet2 and Ryanair all still actively operate flights from Leeds airport.
