The Directorate of School Education (Secondary), Punjab, has issued strict instructions to all government schools and education offices across the state regarding the updation and verification of sanctioned posts data on the e-Punjab portal.
The directions have been circulated through the Coordination Branch of the Education Department, which has also announced that the portal has been made live with immediate effect for corrections and verification of records.
Through an official communication, all District Education Officers and school heads have been directed to carefully match the data available on the portal with the official office records. In case of any discrepancy between departmental records and the data uploaded on the portal, the information must be updated immediately as per the current status.
The department has emphasised that after updating the information, the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) must personally verify the entries before final approval. Authorities have also been instructed to complete the entire process within the stipulated deadline fixed by the department.
Officials have been specifically directed to ensure that all sanctioned posts data is updated and approved in one go, as no further modifications will be possible once the approval process is completed. The department believes that this measure will help maintain transparency and accuracy in official records.
The Assistant Director (Coordination) has warned that any negligence, incorrect information, or delay in completing the task will make the concerned DDO directly accountable. Meanwhile, MIS Coordinators have been asked to extend full technical support and cooperation to school heads during the entire process to ensure smooth implementation of the instructions.
