Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in eight states and Kuala Lumpur until 6pm today, says MetMalaysia.

KUALA LUMPUR: Eight states and Kuala Lumpur are expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds until 6 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

MetMalaysia, in a warning issued at 3:10 pm, stated that the weather conditions are forecast to hit Bandar Baharu in Kedah, while in Perak, it involves Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, and Hilir Perak.

On the East Coast, the affected areas are expected to be Dungun and Kemaman in Terengganu, as well as Rompin in Pahang.

The same warning was also issued for Petaling in Selangor, while in Negeri Sembilan it involves Seremban, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin, alongside Segamat in Johor.

Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the severe weather is forecast to occur in Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Bintulu (Tatau).
