SIPITANG: The Sipitang OCPD Cup Badminton Tourney organised by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division was held here on Sunday.
OCPD Champin Piuh said all branches and divisions under the district police headquarters took part and eight teams were formed.
“Altogether there were 63 participants including five officers and 55 from the rank and file and three civil officers,” he added.
The champions were the joint-team from the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division and the Public Order Division. First runners-up were from the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division and in third place were the Sindumin Police Station Team.
“The tournament is to foster a closer relationship between personnel from the various branches and divisions including police stations throughout the district,” he stated.
