BELURAN: An 80-year-old man from Kampung Sungai Sapi was found dead inside his four-wheel-drive vehicle after it plunged into a 9-metre ravine at KM75 Jalan Beluran–Telupid on Tuesday morning.
Beluran police chief Supt Hasan Majid said the victim is believed to have lost control of the vehicle and died more than 24 hours before being discovered by Pan Borneo workers.
Police have opened an investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and urged witnesses to contact Insp. Asdar Miktar at 011-1548 1071 or the Beluran Police Station at 089-511222.
