LAHAD DATU: A male elephant has been found dead on a plantation in Jalan Silam here, local authorities have confirmed.

The carcass was discovered at approximately 1pm on Thursday by a plantation worker, who promptly notified their supervisor.

AdvertisementThe plantation's assistant manager reported the incident to the police at 5.54pm on the same day.

Lahad Datu Wildlife Department officer Hairulnizam Hasnan has confirmed the discovery and announced the launch of an investigation.
