Elmina crash: No passengers on e-hailing car - IGP

SHAH ALAM - The e-hailing driver killed in a light plane crash in Elmina, Section U16 here was not transporting any passengers during the incident.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed this after he received information from the e-hailing service provider.

"During the incident, we found that he (the e-hailing driver) had stopped taking new orders from passengers since 2pm," he said in a press conference at the crash site of the private plane, here, on Friday.

He said this when asked whether there were passengers in the e-hailing vehicle involved in the crash.

Yesterday, a Beechcraft 390 Premier 1 plane carrying eight passengers including two crew crashed in the area.

In the 2.40pm incident, all those onboard were killed while two civilians, a motorcyclist and an e-hailing driver died after the aircraft collided with them.
