Tottenham defender Emerson Royal has refuted claims from his father that he would be better off at a club that wins trophies.
The Brazilian, who signed from Barcelona two summers ago, has flopped at the North London club.
Rather than telling his son to fight for his starting spot, his father recently stated they would look for a move to a top team that competes for and wins trophies.
Royal said, per The Mail: Although he is entitled to his own opinion, I have never spoken to him about it and I have always made it clear that I am happy at Tottenham.
