Kim Mathers, the ex-wife of Eminem, has pleaded no contest after she was charged in a hit-and-run crash.
Mathers, 51, immediately entered the plea Monday in a Michigan court, which means she is accepting her conviction on the two charges — operating a vehicle while impaired and failure to stop after a collision — without formally admitting guilt.
The charges stem from a February 16 crash in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Mathers was driving a white Range Rover when she allegedly hit a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck that was parked on the street and pushed it back 50 feet from where it was parked, according to police. She was allegedly impaired at the time of crash.
“Driving under the influence is not a lapse in judgment—it is a deliberate decision that puts every person on the road at risk,” Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said in a statement. “We see the consequences far too often: lives lost, families shattered, and communities changed forever.”
Driving under the influence is a 93-day misdemeanor and failure to report an accident is a 90-day misdemeanor. The prosecutor’s office said these are the maximum charges available based on the evidence. Mathers is scheduled for a sentencing hearing in June.

TMZ reported that the crash occurred when Mathers was in the car with her son, Parker, and three of his friends. Parker is Mathers’ son from a relationship after her divorce from Eminem.
According to the police report obtained by the outlet, Mathers told officers that she drank two margaritas at Chili’s before she was arrested.
Mathers’ attorney did not share any further comment when approached by The Independent.
The mom was married twice to the Detroit rapper, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, and they share daughter Hailie Jade together. Their last divorce was finalized in December 2006, but the former couple reportedly remained friends over the years. The rapper did not respond for comment.
This is not the first time that Mathers has been involved in a car crash while under the influence.
In October 2015, she drove a Cadillac Escalade into a utility pole in Macomb Township. She was charged with a DUI in the single-vehicle crash, and pleaded no contest the following year to avoid jail time. She was sentenced to a fine and probation.
She later said on a radio show that the incident had been a suicide attempt, and that she had drank a fifth of rum before the crash.
In 2003, Mathers was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and driving offenses. The next year, she was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 90 days in rehab after she violated her probation on the drug charges.
