KOTA BELUD: The Government is committed to empowering rural entrepreneurs in Sabah through the implementation of the Insken Sabah Campus Open Day (Hati) Programme Series 4/2025, organised by the National Entrepreneurship Institute (Insken), an agency under the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop).

Its Minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick, said the programme demonstrates the Government’s continuous efforts in developing an inclusive, balanced and comprehensive entrepreneurial ecosystem, including in remote areas.

“The establishment of the Insken Campus in Sabah clearly reflects the Government’s commitment to ensuring access to knowledge, technology and business support for all levels of society, particularly entrepreneurs in the State,” he said when officiating the programme here Sunday.

Ewon said the programme focuses on exposure to new technologies, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to help hawkers and small traders manage their businesses in a more modern, efficient and profitable way.

“Programmes like this serve as a strategic platform to strengthen the competitiveness of our entrepreneurs, ensuring they remain resilient and capable of competing in the digital era,” he said.

The Hati Programme Series 4/2025 is a continuation of previous editions, with the most recent held in Sepanggar last week, involving the participation of more than 260 Sabah entrepreneurs.

Ewon also encouraged all entrepreneurs in the State to seize the opportunities provided by Insken and to take part in the various training and mentoring programmes offered.

He extended his appreciation to the Sabah Government, agencies under Kuskop, and the entrepreneurs who remain committed to developing their businesses.
