
Kota Kinabalu: Some 130 secondary school students in Kudat, Kota Marudu and Pitas will participate in Phase 2 of the Student Empowerment in Climate Action (SECA) to be held at SMK Tandek Kota Marudu on Oct 1.
The project is under the initiative of Sabah Environmental Trust (SET) and Universiti Malaya (UM), while the programme is made possible with the financial support of Yayasan Sime Darby (YSD).
SET Chief Executive Officer Dr Rahimatsah Amat said the project is to enhance the knowledge of secondary school students as active citizens on climate issues.
It is also to enlighten on climate change among coastal rural secondary school students as active citizens via rainwater harvesting and mangrove nursery monitoring.
