Allen produced one of the most explosive innings ever seen in a T20 World Cup knockout match.
The New Zealand opener smashed 100 from just 33 balls, setting the record for the fastest century in T20 World Cup history.
His aggressive approach immediately put South Africa on the back foot. New Zealand were chasing 170, but Allen’s blitz meant the target was reeled in with ease.
The Black Caps completed the chase in just 12.5 overs, sealing a comprehensive victory.
The knock will go down as one of the standout performances in the tournament’s history.
England and India to decide New Zealand’s T20 World Cup final opponent
Attention now turns to the second semi-final between England and India, which takes place on Thursday.

The winner will advance to the T20 World Cup final to face New Zealand. That match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, 8 March.
Both sides entered the tournament among the favourites, setting up a heavyweight clash for a place in the final.
New Zealand will now wait to discover which team they will meet as they aim to lift the trophy for the first time.
