Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Sports Board are urged to provide excellent service to users of their facilities in the sports centres and complexes situated throughout the State.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Ellron Angin made the call in his speech at the Sabah Sports Board’s New Year, Chinese New Year and Christmas celebration at the Sabah International Convention Centre here on Tuesday.
“It is important for the management to listen to complaints especially from the users, and the staff must also be aware of the importance of feedback from the public because this is how we can act to ensure our service system is more efficient, orderly and safe,” he said.
He added that there is a need to review the standard operating procedure (SOP) to prevent any unwanted incidents from happening, especially if it happens to the users.
He also expressed his appreciation to the Sports Board for their achievement as a result of effective teamwork, and hopes that the support from all the agencies under the Youth and Sports Ministry will make the State more advanced and developed in line with the Sabah Maju Jaya plan.
