‘Ensure GRS’ victory in Kundasang’

RANAU: Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam, called on the people, especially those in Kundasang, to unite to ensure the victory of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in the 17th State Election (PRN17).

He said this is important to ensure that the development agenda brought by the GRS Government can be implemented continuously and the results continue to be enjoyed by the people.

“Even though much have been implemented and enjoyed by the people, including in Kundasang, our struggle is not yet over,” he said.

Dr Joachim, who is also Kundasang Assemblyman, said this at the Mukim Pinawantai Kaamatan and Hari Raya celebration held at Balai Raya Kg Pinawantai.

Read more Dr Joachim, who is also Deputy President of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), explained to the residents of the district about the political cooperation between PBS and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star Sabah) which at the same time also strengthens GRS.

“We will also continue to demand our rights as enshrined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63),” he explained, while reminding leaders at all levels in Kundasang to continue working and reaching out to the people at the grassroots.

This includes identifying citizens in the hardcore poor category to be given assistance.

Dr Joachim, who is also Minister of Local Government and Housing, said he would always monitor those under his Ministry to ensure they carry out their respective responsibilities.

He thanked and congratulated the Kampung Tarawas Head and Organising Chairman, Semiun Kiting; Community Development Leader (PPM), Dounis Sani and UPPM staff, for successfully organising the ceremony.

Also present were Ranau MP Datuk Jonathan Yasin and Political Secretary to Dr Joachim, Yubidi Gompoyo, District Heads, OKK Muhasip Haji Roman and OKK Dominic Ganie; Native Heads (KAN), Deputy Native Heads (WKAN), and Village Heads.
