Epson Malaysia has expanded its EcoTank line-up with a new range of compact printers aimed at home users and small-to-medium enterprises.
These catridge-free inkjet printers promise faster performance, lower running costs, and a smaller footprint compared to previous generations. The refreshed series includes the L1310, L3310, L3316, L3350, L3356, and L5390, catering to different productivity needs ranging from basic printing to full-fledged wireless multi-function office use.
High-capacity ink and heat-free technology

The core appeal of the new EcoTank series remains its high-volume, cost-efficient printing capability.
Each model relies on 65ml dye ink bottles that can yield up to 4,700 pages in black and 7,500 pages in colour.
To simplify maintenance, Epson has integrated colour-coded tank keys with dedicated slots to ensure mess-free refilling, alongside a user-replaceable maintenance box that minimises downtime. A Semi-Automatic Print Adjustment system is also included to maintain alignment and colour calibration over prolonged use.
Powered by Epson’s Heat-Free Technology, the printers are designed to be energy efficient, consuming just 12W of operational power. The hardware is housed in a redesigned two-tone chassis that is up to 20 percent smaller than previous iterations.
It features an extended curving paper support and an expanded tray to prevent paper bending during operation. Across the board, all models share standard ISO print speeds of up to 11 impressions per minute for black and six impressions per minute for colour.
Model variations and connectivity
The entry-level L1310 is a print-only machine relying on a standard USB 2.0 connection, making it suitable for users who only require straightforward document output.
Stepping up, the L3310 and L3316 add scanning and copying functions, with the former arriving in black and the latter in white. These two multi-function models also rely on a wired USB 2.0 connection and do not feature wireless network capabilities.
For users requiring network integration and mobile workflows, the L3350 (black) and L3356 (white) introduce Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Ethernet connectivity.
These models support Apple AirPrint, Mopria Print Services, and the Epson Smart Panel app, which allows users to scan multiple pages into a single PDF or print directly from their smartphones.
They also feature an upgraded scanning optical resolution of 1,200 by 2,400 dpi, a step up from the 600 by 1,200 dpi resolution found on the non-wireless L3310 and L3316.
Top-tier L5390 with automatic document feeder

Sitting at the top of the new range is the L5390, built for heavier office workflows. It is the only model in the lineup to feature print, scan, copy, and fax capabilities, bolstered by a 30-sheet Automatic Document Feeder for multi-page scanning and copying efficiency.
It shares the same extensive wireless and mobile printing support as the L3350 series, allowing seamless integration into modern smart offices.
Pricing and availability
The new Epson EcoTank models are already available for purchase in Malaysia through the official Epson website and authorised dealer stores nationwide.
While official retail pricing details were not provided in the release, Epson confirmed that all models come bundled with a robust five-year warranty covering up to 50,000 pages, which notably includes coverage for the printhead.
