Everton captain James Tarkowski can see Jarrad Branthwaite playing his way into the England squad.
Tarkowski has been impressed by his defensive teammate this season.
He said, "'d seen a few bits of him at PSV last year in European competition. Anyone who is playing at that level is getting great experience so I fully expected him to be in and around the picture this year anyway, especially when Holgy (Holgate) and Yerry (Mina) left. And to be fair he's stepped up to the plate and is performing really well."
On England, Tarkowski also said: I thought he might have had a sniff with the last squad when Stones and Dunk dropped out. Jarrad had a shout. To be fair, Ezri Konsa at Villa has been excellent and they are flying so I understand why he is there.
"But it would not surprise me if Jarrad is around it in the next year the way he has been playing."
