Everton are eyeing Udinese striker Beto.

La Gazzetta dello Sport says West Ham were keen on the striker in the summer and David Moyes 'weighed up' a move. However, the Hammers instead completed a £35m deal for Gianluca Scamacca from Sassuolo.

The report adds Everton are now keen on Beto, who joined Udinese in 2021 and then spent last season on loan at Portuguese side Portimonense. He returned to Italy this summer and has so far scored four goals in his seven Serie A appearances this term.

His impressive form is said to have caught they eye of Everton, as well as German outfit Borussia Dortmund, who parted ways with Erling Haaland in the transfer window. Beto is reportedly valued at £9m, but given his start to the season and the fact he's under contract until 2026, Udinese could demand much more for the player.
