Blues boss Frank Lampard is keen to bring the Belgium international to Merseyside.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting Lampard is now working on a deal to sign Dendoncker.
A midfielder who can also play at wing-back, Dendoncker scored three goals and provided four assists in 34 matches for Wolves last season.
