Everton manager Sean Dyche admits that summer signing Beto has a specific role to play this term.

The forward has been in the team in recent weeks, but Dyche states that he may not always be a first choice starter.

Beto was signed, according to the experienced coach, to lift the scoring burden on main striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Speaking after a win over Brentford at the weekend, Dyche stated: The idea about Beto was to ease some of that noise around Dominic because that's all I've ever hear.

Beto's doing good, he's adapting and he gives us another weapon and hopefully releases some of the pressure and noise for Dom.

Suddenly we're talking about Beto and Dom can go under the radar a bit. And hopefully continue playing like against Brentford as he looks fit and sharp.

He's had lots of promising moments but lots of tough times with injury. So I don't want over-egg it . We just want him maintaining his fitness and sharpness and to stay out there longer and longer."
