After losing seven consecutive Premier League matches, Leicester’s win over Tottenham last time out was a timely injection of confidence for the Foxes in time for this crucial clash against Everton. It was also an important win for Ruud van Nistelrooy as he enjoyed victory for just the second time in the league as Foxes manager. That victory moved Leicester out of the bottom three and a point above 18th placed Wolves, and a win at Goodison Park could move them four points clear of the drop. They travel to Merseyside though having only picked up eight points from 11 away games this season, with only bottom club Southampton having fared worse on the road.

Everton come into February following back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season. Their 1-0 win at Brighton last time out moved the Toffees seven points above the bottom three with a game in hand on their relegation rivals. David Moyes is hoping to carry on that positive momentum against a Leicester side also battling against the drop. A win against the Foxes would further ease any relegation fears and see Everton win three consecutive matches for the first time since last April. If they are able to replicate their last performance at Goodison Park against Tottenham, then they should have little problem picking up all three points here.
