Everton youngster Halid Djankpata made his Italy U19 debut this week.
Togo-born Djankpata featured in the 3-0 win against Austria.
"When the call-up came, I couldn't believe it: it's a dream come true," the 18-year-old midfielder told the Italian Football Federation.
Djankpata signed pro terms with Everton last year to 2025.
He added: It's been amazing. My whole time here, I have grown up as a person. My emotions have matured and I'm just so excited to keep pushing forward."
