PENAMPANG: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick inspected temporary relief centres (PPS) and flood-affected areas in Penampang and Kadamaian on Monday.

In Penampang, he visited the Sacred Heart Inobong Hall PPS housing 208 evacuees, as well as the Kampung Ramayah PPS with 87 evacuees.

The Moyog River remains overflowing, while access to several PPS is still blocked, forcing victims to cook raw supplies provided instead of receiving ready meals.

In Kadamaian, he visited Kampung Pangi, Kampung Pituru and Kampung Pompod, where the main road is impassable to small vehicles.

The Kota Belud District Disaster Committee has delivered food and water, supported by contributions from 4WD clubs and the Kadamaian service centre.
