PENAMPANG: Penampang Member of Parliament Datuk Ewon Benedick will formally assume leadership of the United Kinabalu Progressive Organisation (Upko) at the party’s convention set for Jan 14-15.
The party’s Supreme Council meeting here on Thursday resolved to hold he party’s congress after the original dates of Oct 15- 16 were postponed to concentrate on the general election.
Prime Minister cum Pakatan Harapan Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to preside over the congress, which will be held at the Penampang Sabah Cultural Centre.
