Patrick Kluivert has spoken of being squeezed out of Barcelona last season.
The former Barca striker returned to the club as head of the academy, but lost his job when Joan Laporta replaced Josep Maria Bartomeu as president.
Kluivert told El Larguero: “My son plays in cadet A and I am aware of what is happening at the club. He is very happy at the club.
"It wasn't my fault I left. The new president came, Laporta. He wanted to put an acquaintance of his in my place. I haven't had any explanations but for me it was a bit strange but you have to respect the decisions."
On the first team, he added: "It's at a difficult point, but if they sign who they want to sign, it will be competitive like every year."
