MANILA, Philippines -- Resigned Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles head coach Tab Baldwin appears before the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on Friday to face the fact-finding body investigating the deaths of his players Rene Clert Baterbonia and Divine Adili.
Baldwin headed the team building activity in Dipaculao, Aurora where Baterbonia and Adili drowned on June 8.
Baldwin has not responded to summonses by the CIDG and the National Bureau of Investigation because he was then “not in a good condition to appear,” his lawyer said.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla emwarned the seasoned basketball coach that he could be cited for contempt should he fail to attend the hearing again.
