Former Chelsea and Brighton manager Graham Potter is being discussed inside Ajax.
Ajax are seeking a new coach, with caretaker John van t' Schip to step aside at the end of the season.
The Mirror says among the candidates is Potter.
Ajax director Alex Kroes was surprised to learn that Potter is open to the job.
Potter has now become an option, especially as several key people on the board admire him.
Potter has been out of football since he was sacked by Chelsea almost a year ago.
