Former Everton boss Sam Allardyce can't see the club being sold to 777 Partners.

Everton majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is said to be in advanced talks to sell up to 777.

But amid doubts about 777 and their ability to pass the Premier League's 'fit and proper' ownership test, Allardyce has dismissed the Americans as a serious player.

He told talkSPORT: "It has to be looked into properly.

"But it's a no-go, isn't it, really?

"I mean, it would get turned down by the Premier League surely on the fit and proper in terms of who is owning the football club and the troubles they've had in the past years.

"I was sitting here looking forward to talking to you about the takeover at Everton and what that might mean, but obviously they need to look at that with a lot of scrutiny and, of course, make sure that financially it's right."
