Former Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has weighed into the debate surrounding Paul Pogba.
The summer arrival from Manchester United is yet to appear for Juve after a preseason knee injury.
Cobolli Gigli told TMW: "It's easy to make judgments now, but when he did his medical tests maybe, and I say maybe because I don't know, it could be pointed out that he had problems with the meniscus.
"He decided to entrust himself to a sorcerer without operating immediately: perhaps the managers were not able to explain to him that it was much more appropriate not to delay the operation for a month and a half or two. Now it turns out to be a wrong purchase but it is easy say it now... It is certainly a cost with no return, unless special insurance policies have been stipulated.
"For example, in my day the club was covered by the absences of some players, maybe there is also something on Pogba. So it would be alleviated anyway a cost but not the harm."
