Former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has been named new coach of Uruguay.
Bielsa replaces Diego Alonso after he resigned following the midseason World Cup. Marcelo Boli has been acting as caretaker coach.
Uruguay failed to get out of the group stage in Qatar.
The Argentine has been out of work since his February 2022 sacking by Leeds.
Bielsa had held talks with Everton and Bournemouth earlier this season without agreeing terms.
