Former Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown was full of praise for the Sky Blues after last night's 3-1 win at FC Copenhagen.
City won the first-leg 3-1 of their Champions League round 16 in Copenhagen.
Brown told BBC Sport: "I thought it was a stunning performance. I thought they started with real control, real desire.
"It was just that mistake after you thought City were going to go on and control it very comfortably. Ederson with an unlikely pass out and they were punished by a good finish from [Magnus] Mattsson.
"But then City just did what they did. There was a slight concern over Jack Grealish with Jeremy Doku coming on, but that was the one poor note frorm the night.
"I think it was a really top performance. We've seen other sides go to Copenhagen and struggle, especially in the group stages. The amount of possession and 27 shots tells you the control City had.
"I thought 2-1 would have done it. City probably felt like they'd settle for it, they kept the control, moved the ball around, but then things opened up. That little reverse pass - De Bruyne sensational and Foden scoring another goal."
