Former Petaling Jaya MP and PKR member Lee Chean Chung has officially joined the ranks of Parti Bersama today.
This comes after he submitted his Bersama membership application before being admitted into the party.

Lee decision to join the party was hailed by leaders such as Rafizi Ramli, Nik Nazmi and Bersama president Syukri Razab.
“His entry strengthens Bersama’s leadership line-up as the party continues to grow. He will share the responsibility of leading our Melaka election campaign, focusing on building our machinery in Chinese-majority areas.
“Alongside us, Lee will be among the Bersama leaders in the interim before a party election is held next year,” they said in a statement.
Last Friday (Oct 2), Lee announced he would be vacating his position as Petaling Jaya MP after he was given formal notice of his PKR membership being suspended for three years.

He also left PKR today after serving in the party for 18 years.
Lee, who formerly served as PKR treasurer-general and communications director, saw his ties with PKR go downhill after his access to constituency allocations was reportedly blocked through the MyKhas portal.
With Lee now a Bersama member, he joins alongside other former PKR leaders including Rafizi, Nik Nazmi, and Wong Chen.
