Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon admits Manchester City are formidable opponents tonight.

City are in Madrid for the first-leg of their Champions League semifinal.

Calderon told BBC Sport: "It's a great atmosphere for tonight. Thrilling and exciting match, no doubt with these two teams playing tonight. A lot of stars on the pitch, so we can expect the best.

"I suppose Man City will like to win the match because its very important for them. We can perform miracles as we did last season, it was unbelievable. People went mad with those goals. It is weird to see a team like Man City, with experienced players let that match go as it went.

"This is a different match today, Man City have improved a lot with Haaland scoring many goals and breaking records. Apart from that they have such good players like De Bruyne, Mahrez, Gundogan. So it will be a very very interesting match tonight.

"Haaland is strong, he's fast, he's scored many goals, of course he will be a danger for our defence. Let's hope tonight isn't going to be his night."
