Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was pleased after their 1-1 draw at Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
Kevin de Bruyne canceled out Vini Jr's opener for Real as the Champions League semifinal first-leg finished with the teams tied up.
Guardiola said, "Manchester will be like a final in front of our own fans. We scored when they were better than us in the second half. Congratulations to my team. In these type of games you need your best players and Ederson was exceptional. Kyle Walker was exceptional against one of the best rivals you can face worldwide.
"We defended our box well, the effort was incredible. Now it's like a play-off. We can defend better in some departments, maybe we can attack a little differently. Alaba and Rdiger were so close to Erling, so there were very few spaces to find. Maybe we can adjust a couple of things for next week.
"Toni Kroos made us defend much more than we wanted to. If he hadn't played pivote today, I can tell you we'd have defended much less. I'm happy with a 1-1 draw... rather than a 3-0 defeat! We'll look at the game again now. In some parts we were good. But I think we could have sought more goals with more aggression. I have an idea about what to do next week. But I need to watch this match again.
"When we were better, they scored. When they were better, we scored. It was a tight game. They are so demanding with their experience and quality. We will see what we can do better [in Manchester]."
