  • Former Scotland rugby union captain Stuart Hogg was arrested on 12 February 2026 in Hawick, as first reported in the Scottish Sun on Wednesday.
  • The arrest was in connection with an alleged breach of a non-harassment order.
  • Hogg was subsequently released without charge by Police Scotland.
  • He had previously admitted a domestic abuse charge in November 2024, involving shouting, swearing, tracking and sending distressing messages to his estranged wife, Gillian Hogg.
  • Following this admission, he was sentenced in January 2025 to a community payback order and a five-year non-harassment order, and was recently stripped of his MBE.
