Tenom: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Melalap division approved four motions at the division’s annual meeting.
It division Head Datuk Jamawi Jaafar said the first proposal was to create a special development committee comprising local leaders, government officials, academicians, government retirees and technical officers who are born and raised in Melalap.
He said the aim of establishing the committee is to develop an action plan to accelerate the development of Melalap town.
“The second motion is to ask the government to remove SFI land that overlaps with the land applied by villagers in Melalap so that their land application can be processed and approved,” he said after the meeting held at Dewan Datuk Seri Panglima Antenom here, last Saturday.
