An excited staffer has gone viral for his reaction as a Republican senator’s attempted ‘gotcha’ moment on Jack Smith blew up in his face.
Senator Eric Schmitt accused the former special counsel of attending an Atlanta Hawks game where, according to a Republican theory, he would have met with Fulton County DA Fani Willis to coordinate prosecutions against Donald Trump.
But, later, as Democrat Amy Klobuchar pointed out Smith was actually attending an Iowa Hawkeyes game in Maryland, a staffer behind he was seen enthusiastically nodding along.
