TAWAU: The Federal and State governments are urged to expedite the proposed projects to overcome the problem of clean water supply in Sebatik Island which is becoming critical.
Kalabakan MP, Datuk Andi Muhammad Suryady Bandy, hoped that the government would give priority to address the issue.
According to him, he had met with the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, last week to discuss the medium- and long-term solutions.
“The three proposed projects that will be carried out are to deepen the existing water reservoir plant, build a new reservoir plant and drill the land to get the spring source,” he said.
