LAHAD DATU: An express bus travelling from Semporna to Kota Kinabalu plunged into a 50-metre ravine at Batu 9, Jalan Silam, here, on Thursday night, injuring six passengers.

It was learnt that the bus carrying 19 passengers had gone out of control and plunged into the ravine in the 9.20pm incident.

A team of 20 from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene after receiving an alert.

When the team arrived at the scene, 13 of the passengers had managed to get out of the wreckage.
