Kota Kinabalu: Parti Warisan Vice President Datuk Junz Wong said the September evacuation deadline for some 107 families living at the soon-to-be demolished low-cost Tanjung Aru flats should be extended.
He said State Local Government and Housing (LGH) Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam recently told him it would be in September instead of this month.
“The former LGH Minister (Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun) said it was unsafe to inhabit so we demanded a core test for the structure.
“After two years they said it was done but the report was never published. That’s why we have a feeling that the flat is still safe and can be fixed.
