F1 stars Kimi Antonelli and George Russell explore Malaysia, sharing stunning Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi moments with fans worldwide
FORMULA 1 drivers Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell have arrived in Malaysia ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).
Videos circulating on social media showed the two drivers attending an event at the Petronas Twin Towers, but it was their social media posts showcasing Malaysia’s sights that caught the attention of local fans.
Kimi shared several photographs, including a selfie in front of the KLCC towers, accompanied by the caption: “Amazing day in Kuala Lumpur with the @petronasmotorsports family.”
Within two hours, the post had garnered more than 22,000 likes.

Meanwhile, Russell shared photographs and videos from his trip to Langkawi, captioning the post: “Boys trip to Langkawi.”
The stunning images caught the attention of Tourism Malaysia, which thanked the F1 driver for showcasing the country.
“Thank you for taking the boys for your own Cuti-Cuti Malaysia moments,” Tourism Malaysia wrote in a social media post.
Meanwhile, PETRONAS Motorsports teased fans with a video featuring the two drivers sampling Malaysian cuisine.
“Who wants to see @georgerussell63 and @Kimi.antonelli try some of our most famous Malaysian dishes?” it posted.

The video, which also featured Sid Murshid, founder of Grey Cafe KL and Sid’s Chocolate, showed Russell and Antonelli seated with a plate of nasi lemak in front of them.
Russell encouraged Antonelli to try the dish, saying: “That is not spicy, you should try it.”
Antonelli, however, admitted that he had previously had some unpleasant experiences with spicy food.
“I had some bad experiences with food that is spicy,” he said, prompting laughter from those around him.
The episode is expected to be released soon on PETRONAS Motorsports’ social media platforms.
