MANILA, Philippines— The country will have fair weather in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Monday.

Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said no low pressure area was monitored inside or outside the country’s area of responsibility.

Pagasa said the temperature in the National Capital Region would likely reach 39 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature  could be recorded in Sangley Point, Cavite at 42 degrees.

Aurelio said the ridge or extension of the high pressure area has extended over Northern Luzon where cloud and thunderstorm development would be unlikely.

The weather agency reminded the public to limit time spent outdoors especially when the sun’s heat is at its peak, drink plenty of water and to bring umbrellas or hats when going out.
