MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will continue to prevail across the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The temperature could peak at 39°C in Tuguegarao and 35°C in Metro Manila, Tacloban, and Zamboanga.
The heat index, or the temperature felt by the human body when relative humidity combines with actual air temperature, is forecast to peak at 44°C in parts of Cavite, Bulacan, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Cagayan, and Eastern Samar.
The heat index in parts of Metro Manila could reach 42°C.
