Investigation underway after a man, his wife and two children were found dead at a Desa ParkCity residential unit in Kuala Lumpur.

KUALA LUMPUR: Four members of a family were found dead at a residential unit in Desa ParkCity, Persiaran Residen here yesterday, with three found inside the unit and the fourth believed to have died after falling from the building.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said police received a report at 3.32 pm regarding the 48-year-old man who was believed to have fallen from the residential building.

He said police subsequently went to the residential unit and with the assistance of the Fire and Rescue Department, opened the door and found three people dead in separate rooms.

“The victims comprised a 47-year-old woman, the man’s wife, and their two children, a nine-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy,” he said in a statement.

Fadil said checks found that all three victims had sustained severe injuries to their necks, while a knife believed to have been used in the incident was also found.

“The cause of the incident is still under investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code as well as a Sudden Death Report (SDR),” he said.
