PAPAR: Two children drowned, a man is missing while another child was reported safe after a beach outing turned tragic at Kampung Bundusan, here, Thursday.

According to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson, eight personnel led by Senior Officer Rozlan Osman and Dahlan Jainuddin were at the scene after being notified at 5.38pm.

Advertisement“A distress call was received that four people may have drowned while swimming at the beach.

“Upon arrival, the team did cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on one of the victims found by villagers but he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers,” he said.

Read more He said the second victim, Matthew Vitalis, 12, was reported safe after being found by villagers while the third victim was found on the beach at 6.56pm.

The deceased were identified as Rizq Aariz Julkarnain Abd Aziz, 14 and Rubern Vitalis, 7 while Karl Marx Vitalis, 48 is still missing.
