PROMINENT businessman Datuk Seri Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has publicly rejected allegations suggesting he was in any way linked to the physical attack on the son of Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, calling the claims “gila” or “madness”, according to a report by Malaysiakini cited by Sinar Harian today.
The denial follows remarks in Parliament on Thursday, where Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim assured MPs that investigations into the assault would be conducted “transparently and thoroughly.”
Earlier, Rafizi suggested that the attack could be linked to a meeting he had held with whistleblowers regarding an undisclosed financial scandal. He also claimed the incident appeared to be “a warning” and “an attempt to silence” him from exposing the matter further.
When asked if the scandal involved political figures, Rafizi stated: “Let the police investigate.”
The assault reportedly took place last Wednesday at around 2 p.m. outside a shopping mall in Putrajaya.
According to Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar, the incident occurred as Rafizi’s wife and 12-year-old son were entering their vehicle, when the child was suddenly pulled from the car and injected with a syringe by an unidentified assailant. - August 15, 2025
