Kota Kinabalu: The Sarawak government’s decision to purchase MASwings and rebrand it AirBorneo has put Malaysia Airlines back to servicing the Kota Kinabalu-Lahad Datu route.

The national airline flew into the red for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2024.

Daily Express check with Malaysia Airlines office at the KKIA, affirmed this. The fare to Lahad Datu was priced at RM219 one way. The MASwings signage is still up on the board.
