Amritpal Singh, a student of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Technology at Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University University, has won the silver in the Central South Asia Rugby Sevens Championship held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
He had previously participated in several All-India inter-university rugby competitions and the Senior National Rugby Championship and National Games.
University athlete Amandeep Kaur has also performed well in the Asian Rugby Sevens Series in China and Sri Lanka.
