KOTA KINABALU: Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, sitting as coroner, on Wednesday granted Mahathir Hashim Marikin’s application to take part in the inquest into the death of his daughter, Zara Qairina.
The decision allows Mahathir to be formally recognised as an interested party in the proceedings, represented by his legal team.
His counsels are Sherzali Asli, Nurul Rafeeqa Afdul Mutolip and Clarice Vyonne Conrad, who will be assisting him throughout the hearing.
The inquest is scheduled to begin with its first deponent at 2pm today.
